THE BIBLE IS OUR COMPASS
Voice of Faith bases its views on an informed and considered assessment of the Bible as the infallible Word of God for all of life and for all times.
The spirit of the present age is one of total selfishness and relative truth. It is all about me and what I want. I submit to no higher norm guiding my decisions and actions. Everyone's "truth" is valid and everyone follows their own selfish mind. The enemy thrives in this swamp of relativity and the void it causes. The lie becomes truth and the truth becomes a lie. This leads to extreme folly, bad choices, unending conflict, heart-breaking suffering and total depravity. People's selfish and visionless choices make themselves and others suffer every time.
The Bible knows all about this human fallacy. 1 Corinthians 1:18–25 explains that the wisdom of God (revealed in the message of the cross of Jesus Christ) is foolishness to the world and the wisdom of the world comes to nothing. James 1:6 states that when we begin to doubt God and his truths, we are like a wave being tossed around by the wind. Proverbs 29:18 states, "Where there is no vision, the people perish", which simply means turning our backs on God leads to destruction.
Voice of Faith takes a stand against the trend we see around us. We do not base our views on relative truth, or to be blunt, on human opinion. We try to base our views on an informed and considered assessment of the Bible as the infallible Word of God for all of life and for all times.
Let us underline this: The Bible is not outdated as some say. Modern man has not "outgrown" the Bible. The Bible is still as valid and relevant as ever. Just look around at the conflict and suffering: Humanity needs the good news of the Gospel as much as ever before in history.
The Bible carries the message of salvation the world needs even when it denies it. In the Bible God reveals his glorious self to us and shows us the way of everlasting life through his Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us on the cross. The Bible also provides divine light and insight, showing us a better way to live — a better way to approach and solve life's questions and challenges. Better, because it is based on the nature of God as a holy, good and wise God who wants what is best for His creation. Better, because it leads to the peace and well-being that will benefit the whole of society.
So, the Bible is our infallible compass. Or rather, the Bible is still our compass, despite the pressure we as believers experience to deny the Word and conform to worldly standards. We are convinced that many others believe like us and share our concern about things happening in our country that are clearly in conflict with the Bible message of righteousness and peace.
To those we say, join us in standing up for Biblical truth and in taking action. Believers have a God-given prophetic calling to show the world the better alternative. To point the world towards God's kingdom, true righteousness and a peaceful existence. We invite you to test us in this: The stand we take and the actions we propose on various issues are based solely on our prayerful understanding of what the Bible teaches.
So, we are not a political pressure group. We are ordinary believers who want to glorify God and serve our neighbours by obeying his Word and by encouraging others to do the same. When believers stand up together, we can make a meaningful difference in a suffering world that needs Jesus desperately.
